Matt Travers
Executive Director
Born and raised in London, UK, Matt moved to Chicago in 2016 to marry his (Israeli!) wife and start a family. In the UK, Matt worked for 8 years as Director of Sport for Maccabi Great Britain, the leading Jewish sports Organization in the UK. After moving to Chicago, he spent time as Sports Director for JCC Chicago, before joining StandStrong for its inception in 2020. Matt is entering his seventh year with StandStrong, his fourth as Executive Director, where he drives the mission and development of the organization. Matt has received various accolades throughout his 18 dedicated years in the not-for profit industry, including being listed in the Marquis ‘Who’s Who' in America 2026.
