Live Safer By Learning Self-Defense

Times have been tough for marginalized communities worldwide. The amount of hate crimes, especially towards the Asian community, have gone up significantly while being captured on security videos and shared via social media.
In many cases, those bullied and battered were older citizens, those who may not have the tools to stand-up for themselves, those who appear frail. This is the sad truth of our current environment.
According to a recent article from Voice of America News: “There were 122 incidents of anti-Asian American hate crimes in 16 of the country’s most populous cities in 2020, an increase of almost 150% over the previous year, according to data compiled by California State University’s Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism and exclusively shared with VOA.”
At StandStrong we stand up to all forms of bullying. Although we began with the mission of fighting anti-Semitism, we believe in equality and in turn, we want to give everyone a chance to stand-up for themselves, regardless of socio-economic or cultural backgrounds.
Our hybrid courses of Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu don’t simply prepare you physically, but moreover give you the confidence to know you can enact these moves should you need. Ultimately our goal is to give you the power to mitigate dangerous situations. To be in the class is to take control of your own life, to positively take steps towards empowerment.
With the rise of hate crimes worldwide it is more important to us than ever to get our message out there. We want everyone to take our class so they can gain the tools to make a positive change.
At StandStrong, we are here for you.
